Each SunCatchers is hand made, from the cutting of glass into the various shapes used, to the end product whereby individual artists pour and blend the liquid stains and crystals that are unique to our Glass Images stain glass SunCatchers.

Glass shapes are cut from four foot by eight foot sheets of glass. The individual units are then hand wrapped with the solid brass channel , and soldered with a brass ring at the top. From this point the artist has selected a pattern from our files, or is working with a custom order from a customer. The glass is cleaned and a "Liquid Lead" material is used to outline the pattern on the glass. Depending on the size of glass, intricacy of pattern, and number of units will effect end pricing.

After the pattern has been applied to the glass, it is dried overnight and cleaned again in preparation for painting. The paints are choosen from the customers instructions, or from a photo of the item that is to be made. The paints are applied in various sections and allowed to dry. Depending upon the color selected, the type of paint used (there are four different types of paint used, and an unlimited variety of colors and shades are available in each) you are able to prepare a design equal to most expectations.

After the paints are cured, the SunCatchers is air dried and cleaned, Final inspection, and details are completed in preparation for shipping.
